Vying for the vacant championship are No. 1 contender Natalia Silva and Cong Wang. Both women successfully made weight for the five-round main event without issue. All other fighters on the card also hit their marks on the scale with the exception of Esteban Ribovics, who came in half a pound over the lightweight limit and will be fined a percentage of his purse.

The Brazilian has challenged Curtis Blaydes to a fight at UFC 335, scheduled for Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, and has already expressed his interest in the matchup to the promotion. Now, according to Petrino, all that is missing is a response from the American for negotiations to move forward.

The matchup would pit two fighters coming off victories against each other, with both sitting close together in the heavyweight rankings. Petrino is currently ranked No. 9, while Blaydes sits at No. 7.

How to watch UFC 332 in the United States UFC 332 takes place Oct. 3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The early prelims will air live on UFC Fight Pass and Paramount+ beginning at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
