Two
Ultimate Fighting Championship title fights are now official
following the
UFC 333 weigh-ins.
The UFC pay-per-view, which takes place in Abu Dhabi, is headlined
by a featherweight championship bout between Alexander
Volkanovski and Movsar
Evloev. Both men made weight, as did the co-main event rematch
between champion Petr Yan and
Merab
Dvalishvili, who are fighting for a third time. All other
fighters also made weight, with the exception of Nicolle
Caliari, who came in 4.5 pounds overweight for her strawweight
fight against Iasmin
Lucindo. The fight will move forward with Caliari being fined a
percentage of her purse.

Alexander
Volkanovski looks to add another title defense to his
impressive legacy inside the Octagon. After defeating Diego Lopes
twice in a row to claim and defend the once-vacant title, the
38-year-old Volkanovski (28-4) has shown that he’s still operating
at a world-class level. „The Great“ looks to extend his win streak
to three and stepped on the scale weighing 144.5 pounds.
Meanwhile, Evloev (20-0) will look to cause an upset for the
biggest win of his career. The undefeated Russian is 10-0 inside
the Octagon and most recently beat Lerone
Murphy, Aljamain
Sterling, Arnold
Allen and Lopes. Just 32, the American Top Team product will
look to prove he’s the future of the featherweight division. Evloev
weighed 145 pounds on the dot.
UFC 333 will air in its entirety on Paramount+. The prelims begin
at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT, while the main card kicks off at 2 p.m.
ET/11 a.m. PT.
