Renato
“Money” Moicano is surprised by the
Ultimate Fighting Championship’s decision to match Brian
Ortega against Dan
Hooker.
Ortega and Hooker will meet at
UFC Qatar on Nov. 21 at ABHA Arena in Doha. Moicano, who has
called out Hooker and twice had a rematch with Ortega canceled,
labeled their upcoming matchup “the worst fight in the UFC.”

Renato Moicano questions Brian Ortega vs. Dan Hooker after two
canceled rematches and repeated callouts
Moicano’s repeated calls to fight Hooker have not produced a
matchup. Meanwhile, Ortega withdrew from their scheduled rematch at
UFC 326 because of lingering injuries. They were rebooked for
UFC
331 in September, but Ortega withdrew again after suffering a
severe cut above his eye.
Moicano remains open to facing either fighter, but his immediate
focus is his main event against Tom Nolan at
UFC Vegas 123 on Saturday.
“This is gonna be the worst fight in the UFC,” Moicano told Full
Send MMA. “Brian Ortega vs. Dan Hooker, that’s f*cked up. I don’t
know how the UFC made that fight. But let’s see, let’s wait and see
how they do. And let’s see how I beat Tom Nolan.”
Ortega (16-5, 1 NC) holds a victory over Moicano (21-7-1), having
submitted the Brazilian with a third-round guillotine choke in
their featherweight bout in 2017. “T-City” will make his UFC
lightweight debut against Hooker (24-15).

Ortega vs Dan Hooker
that’s f****d up, I don’t know how the UFC made that fight”
