Vinicius
Oliveira and Umar
Nurmagomedov are seemingly set on a collision course, according
to a series of direct messages between the two that were recently
shared by the Brazilian.
Oliveira made his promotional debut last weekend at
UFC Fight Night 238, bagging $100,000 in bonus money
(“Performance of The Night” and “Fight of the Night”) for his
flying-knee knockout of fellow newcomer Bernardo
Sopai. Nurmagomedov extended his unbeaten streak on the same
card with a decision win over Bekzat
Almakhan after surviving an early scare.
Oliveira subsequently
called out Nurmagomedov for his sophomore UFC outing, labeling
the Dagestani an easy fight after watching his clash against
Almakhan. “Lok Dog” has now revealed his Instagram direct messages
with Nurmagomedov where the Dagestani seemingly agreed to a future
clash.
The conversation starts with Nurmagomedov accepting a matchup,
“even in the street,” which prompted a response from Oliveira.
“Shut your chicken s—t mouth, on the street with no rules I rip
your heart out and feed it to some dogs,” Oliveira wrote. You don’t
scare me. First you’re short, weak and you only have wrestling. I
respect you but you have no chance of beating me, not even in your
best dream.”
Nurmagomedov then asked for Oliveira’s number to talk, which the
Brazilian refrained from sharing.
“Talk to me during the fight, talk with my manager, he’ll talk with
Dana, and so let’s do that buddy,” Oliveira wrote.
When Nurmagomedov asked Oliveira to start preparing regardless of
whether the booking came to fruition, “Lok Dog” seemed confident
that it would.
“They will give us the fight because I’m the only man able to
defeat [you] and put [you] to sleep,” he wrote. “[You] can’t touch
me, [you] can’t put me on the ground with [your] horrible wrestling
or sambo, [you] can start [your] f—-ing training sessions because
I’m coming after [you] little chicken. see [you] soon.”
The conversation ended with an audio call and a voice note from
Nurmagomedov, the contents of which are unknown. Oliveira added the
following caption to the screenshot of the conversation.
“Don’t be p—-y little chicken and accept this fight, I’ll show
[you] the [real] war,” he wrote.
“The new victim was found. [Umar
Nurmagomedov] gonna sleep and have nightmares with my name.
Let’s do it [Dana White and UFC].”
