UFC 304 will mark the promotion’s return to Manchester, England,
for the first time since 2016. Edwards, the reigning welterweight
champ and a Birmingham, England, native, will most likely be a part
of the card. Longtime UFC commentator Jon Anik has now hinted at
Muhammad finally getting his much-awaited title shot against
Edwards at UFC 304 on July 27.
“Flight booked for Manchester, England. See you there, [Belal
Muhammad],” Anik wrote x (Formerly known as Twitter).

Muhammad is currently undefeated in 10
Ultimate Fighting Championship outings, including a no contest
against Leon
Edwards due to an accidental eye poke. While “Remember the
Name” was initially expected to challenge Edwards at
UFC 296 in December 2023, that shot instead went to Colby
Covington, who went on register his third failed title bid.
Muhammad’s name was also missing from a list of three opponents
reportedly offered to Edwards for UFC
300 in April. Anik had also previously made a case for Muhammad
to receive his long overdue title shot.
Meanwhile, Edwards hasn’t lost a fight since 2015 and has
successfully defended his 170-pound throne twice thus far.
