According to medical suspensions released by the New Jersey State
Athletic Control Board, Pena is facing an idefinite time on the
sidelines pending clearance from an orthopedist on her left
shoulder and elbow. Pena tapped to a kimura at the 4:55 mark of
Round 2 to relinquish her bantamweight title to the two-time
Olympic gold medalist in the UFC 316
headliner this past Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark,
New Jersey. Harrison, meanwhile, emerged from the event with a
clean bill of health.
