LFA
101 „The Undefeated“
lived up to its billing as six fighters
tasted defeat for the first time during
Legacy Fighting Alliance
’s latest event.

The final fight of a night filled with action was between Tee Cummins
and Anthony
Kalani
, who missed the light heavyweight limit by 4.4 pounds.
Both men started the fight looking to trade strikes with Cummins
(3-0) landing a number of leg kicks. Kalani (5-1) was throwing the
heavier punches, but Cummins‘ speed advantage saw him land at a
higher frequency. Cummins‘ capped off an impressive performance
with a beautiful left hook that knocked Kalani (5-1) down. After a
series of punches, the fight was mercifully stopped at 1:20 of
Round 3.

The second-to-last match saw Treston
Vines
face Jalin
Fuller
, who unprofessionally was 6.2 pounds over the
welterweight limit. Vines (4-1) clipped Fuller (5-0) early but
wasn’t able to capitalize on the opportunity. However, Fuller
delivered a brutal knockout blow later in the round as he
landed a huge right hook after a series of kicks
. The fight was
waved off 2:32 of Round 1.

Mark
Climaco
came out on top in a battle of unbeaten prospects. The
slick ground game of Climaco (5-0) proved to be too much for
Pololu
Nakanelua
during their 129-pound catchweight bout. Climaco
bloodied up Nakanelua (4-1) with punches in Round 1 but failed to
put away the Hawaiian. Nakanelua refused to give up and kept the
fight competitive, but it was Climaco that received a unanimous
decision verdict from the judges (30-27, 30-27, and 30-26).

Lightweight prospect
Miguel Jacob Elmokdisi Neto
faced the toughest test of his
career against the experienced A.J.
Nichols
. Both fighters had their moments, but it was Nichols
(7-2-1) that had more gas in the tank as the fight went on. The
veteran managed to take Neto (4-1) down in the last round and lock
his opponent into a crucifix. Neto
was unable to defend himself and the fight was called off
at
the 2:41 mark as a result.

Strawweight Jaqueline
Amorim
completely outclassed the debuting Taisha
Gandy
and submitted her opponent in quick fashion. Amorim

needed just 33 seconds to sink in a rear-naked choke
that
forced Gandy (0-1) to tap. Amorim moves to 3-0 with the
victory.

In a flyweight bout, Alden Coria
managed to outwrestle Rashaad
Robinson
in the first round. However, Coria (4-0) ended the
fight on the feet as he landed a huge left hand that floored
Robinson (3-2).
A flurry of punches later and the fight was called off
at 1:05
of Round 2.

Middleweights Hunter
Colvin
and Obinwa
Ikebunna
opened the main card. Colvin (3-0) showed a grappling
advantage early and eventually got the back of Ikebunna (2-1).
After
sinking in a rear-naked choke
, Colvin got the tap at 2:49 of
the first round. After the bout, Colvin said he’ll move down to
welterweight going forward.

In the lone preliminary bout, Elmar
Umarov
(3-0) picked up a TKO win over Cody King
(1-2) via elbows and punches at 2:20 of Round 1
