Pereira’s hair during their bout at UFC

„Three weeks in a row where Herb Dean has interfered with results:
first at
UFC White House, then in the ‚Lok Dog‘ vs. Andre Fili
fight fight last week, and now in the Michel vs. Shara fight. The
truth is this guy manipulates results. How does he not deduct a
point? The Russian committed an eye poke and grabbed Michel’s hair
three times, yet he did nothing. If he had punished [Magomedov for
the infractions], the result would have been a draw. Once again, he
made a huge mistake and interfered with a fight’s outcome,”
Carneiro said.
United in Criticism
Tom
Aspinall—who the previous week had blamed the referee for
Poatan’s loss to Ciryl Gane
following a series of illegal blows—also took to Instagram Stories
to comment on the fouls committed by Magomedov against Pereira at
UFC Baku. He suggested that, in his view, MMA rules are being
treated more like guidelines than actual regulations.
„MMA doesn’t have ‚rules‘ anymore. They’re just ’suggestions‘,“
Aspinall wrote.
Pereira, who has been Dean’s most vocal critic, seized on the wave
of criticism and commented on a post by Pereira: „Herb Dean is a
coward!”
