The
Professional Fighters League’s first event in San Diego is
officially set following the official weigh-ins.
Headlining
PFL San Diego is the return of A.J. McKee.
The former Bellator MMA featherweight champion takes on undefeated
prospect Salamat
Isbulaev for his second fight of 2026. All fighters made weight
for the nine-fight card with the exception of Sarvarjon
Khamidov, who came in 1.6 pounds over the bantamweight
limit.
McKee (24-2) enters the main event having gone 3-1 inside the
promotion. Since losing a split decision loss to Paul Hughes
in 2024, „Mercenary“ has since defeated Akhmed
Magomedov and Adam Borics
via decision. The 31-year-old weighed 145.6 pounds for his latest
fight.
This is the biggest fight in the career of Isbulaev (10-0). The
Kazakhstani fighter is 1-0 inside the PFL after knocking out
Jesus
Pinedo earlier this year. Just 29, the featherweight prospect
will look to show he’s a top contender with an upset win. Isbulaev
officially stepped on the scale weighing 145.8 pounds.
PFL San Diego will air on ESPN2 and ESPN+. The main card starts on
Saturday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, while the prelims kick off at 8
p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
