PFL Reveals First Four Dates for 2025 World Tournament
Professional Fighters Leagueโs new format will begin in earnest
this spring.
The organization on Tuesday revealed the first four dates and venue
for the upcoming 2025 PFL World Tournament, which marks a departure
from the promotionโs season format of past years. The first four
events will take place on April 3, April 11, April 18 and May 1 on
the backlot of Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida.
The single-elimination tournament will feature brackets at
heavyweight, light heavyweight, middleweight, welterweight,
lightweight, featherweight, bantamweight and womenโs flyweight.
Athletes who win three times in five months to complete the bracket
will earn a $500,000 bonus, and the tournament as a whole will pay
out more than $20 million in prize money. First round and semifinal
fights will be contested over three rounds, while tournament finals
will be five rounds โ and elbows will be allowed throughout.
The 2025 PFL Tournament will air on a variety ESPN platforms: ESPN,
ESPN2, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes. A full roster as well as additional
tournament dates and locations are expected to be announced
soon.
