The
Professional Fighters League
kicks off its second PFL MENA
season this week with the start of its lightweight and
featherweight tournaments.

All fighters successfully made weight for the card, which is
headlined by a lightweight fight between Ahmed El
Sisy
and Mohsen
Mohammadseifi
. Both men successfully made weight, as did all of
the fighters on the card. There is one late replacement, though, as
featherweight Drissi
Boualem
will replace Abdelrahman
Alhyasat
and fight Taha
Bendaoud
in a quarterfinal.

A newcomer to the PFL, El Sisy sports an impressive 6-1 record and
is coming off TKO wins over Aboubakeur
Houari
and Mourad
Chably
. Meanwhile, Mohammadseifi (7-2) is coming off his 2024
PFL MENA victory as he won a five-round decision over Georges Eid
to win the 2024 lightweight championship. The 35-year-old „Golden
Boy“ is 3-0 inside the promotion as he also defeated Souhil
Tairi
and Josh Togo
during the season.

PFL MENA 1 will begin at noon ET/9 a.m. PT on Friday, May 9.
