Sherdog’s live
ONE Fight Night 14
coverage kicks off Friday at 8 p.m. ET.

Round 1

Lightweights get the party started, as the unbeaten Cooper (2-0,
0-0 ONE) makes his promotional debut opposite Maurice Abevi (6-1,
0-1 ONE) at 170 pounds. Abevi finds himself on the rebound
following his first professional setback—a unanimous decision loss
to Halil Amir in April. Mohamad Sulaiman draws the officiating
assignment. Abevi paws with his jab and tries to use his length and
reach to his advantage. Cooper closes the distance with a powerful
right hand, shoots on a takedown and briefly capitalizes on a
failed flying submission attempt from his counterpart. Cooper
clinches, then dives on a single-leg but cannot get it to the
floor. Abevi fires front kicks to the body, drifts into open space
and once again zeroes in on the midsection with some sharp
shin-to-skin contact. Abevi sticks the Hawaiian with a straight
right, forces him onto the back foot and denies another takedown.
Cooper lands an overhand right that seemed to stun Abevi, but not
for long.
Abevi closes the distance with punches and elbows, resets and
unleashes again. Cooper crumbles at the base of the fence. A right
uppercut started his downward spiral.

The Official Result

Maurice Abevi def. Blake Cooper—TKO (Punches and Elbows) 4:36

Round 1

Action moves forward with this bantamweight battle contested under
muay thai rules. Olivier Coste serves as the referee. Ten Pow tests
the waters with his jab and front kicks, as Ajalaboon answers with
a body kick and an overhand right. Ten Pow stuns Ajalaboon with a
right hand and blocks a head kick. Ajalaboon connects with a hard
leg kick. They exchange, and Ten Pow connects with a spinning back
elbow to the face. Blood flows from Ajalaboon’s nose. Ten Pow
thumps him with a jab and picks his spots but eats a few leg kicks.
Ajalaboon lands a kick to the body, followed by two knees, as Coste
separates the combatants. Ten Pow benefits from the break, gets
back on the jab and clinches as the bell sounds. SHERDOG
VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9 Ten Pow

Round 2

They touch gloves in a show of respect and get back to business.
Ajalaboon fires his hips into a series of leg kicks, which have
begun to take effect. Ten Pow answers with push kicks to the
midsection before a clinch forces Coste to break them up. Ten Pow
buckles Ajalaboon with a left hook but fails to follow up. An
accidental eye poke has Ten Pow wincing in pain and forces a pause
to the action. Ten Pow connects with a spinning back kick once the
fight resumes, and they trade mean elbows at close range. Ajalaboon
keeps Ten Pow guessing with back-to-back head kicks, but the
American answers with a flying knee and traps him along the fence
as the round ends. SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9
Ajalaboon

Round 3

Ten
Pow delivers a strong one-two, then connects with a devastating
right hand along the fence. Ajalaboon collapses against the cage

Round 1

Heavyweights are next to the stage, as the 40-year-old Cerilli
(14-5, 2-3 ONE) seeks his first win since January 2021. Elliott
(4-1, 0-1 ONE) operates out of Akurei MMA in Middlesbrough,
England. Herb Dean answers the call as the third man in the cage.
Elliott fires an early leg kick and follows it with a body kick.
Cerilli wings power punches, then clinches and works his way to a
takedown with less than a minute gone in the match. Elliott accepts
bottom position. Cerilli sets up in half guard, traps the
Englishman’s right arm behind his back and throws an elbow to the
body. Elliott tries to frame a kimura, but the monstrous Italian
denies his advances. Cerilli scores with elbows to the body and
swamps Elliott with pressure from the top. “The Hammer” works
methodically, nearly moves to full mount and then looks to isolate
a limb. Body-head punches follow, and with 45 seconds left in the
round, Cerilli is in firm control. Elliott is not enjoying himself.

Cerilli opens a massive cut near the left eye with a single elbow
strike, as the horn sounds. Dean calls for the stoppage between
rounds. Elliott appears to have suffered a significant arm injury,
perhaps a biceps tendon tear
.

The Official Result

Mauro Cerilli def. Paul Elliott—TKO (Arm Injury) 5:00 R1

Round 1

The line moves along in the lightweight division, where Eduard
Folayang (22-13, 12-11 ONE) rematches Amir Khan (14-9, 13-9 ONE) at
170 pounds. A two-time champion in the company, Folayang defeated
Khan by unanimous decision at ONE “Conquest of Champions” on Nov.
23, 2018. Dean draws the officiating assignment. Khan stuns his
rival with a jab right at the start. Light on his feet, Khan feints
and probes for openings. Folayang taps him with a leg kick, then
hammers home another with far more impact. The Filipino veteran
steps into a right hand and uncorks a combination before eating a
stiff jab. Khan continues to pester him with the jab, alternates
stances and works to keep him off-balance. Folayang catches a kick
and trips his opponent to the floor, then allows him to get up.
Why? Only Folayang knows. Khan lures him into the clinch, as they
trade knees and break apart. Khan connects with a right hand,
drives into the clinch and floats back into open space. Folayang
trips him to the floor, again off a caught kick. He misfires on an
ambitious tornado kick as the bell sounds. SHERDOG VIRTUAL
SCORE: 10-9 Khan

Round 2

Folayang picks up his pace and fires in combination at the start of
Round 2. Khan drives another jab into his face, backs away and
absorbs a stinging leg kick. He could probably benefit from upping
his output. More jabs from Khan, who narrowly misses a front kick
to the head. Dean asks for more action. Folayang steps into a body
kick. Dean pauses the match to warn both men for passivity. Khan
alternates stances, attacks the body with kicks and then stops his
advances. Folayang shrugs off a takedown. Neither man seizing the
reins here. Khan stumbles his counterpart with a left hook, then
backs away when it becomes clear a finish was not in the cards in
the closing seconds. SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9
Khan

Round 3

Khan pressures from the center of the cage but struggles once again
to string punches together. Folayang fires a spinning back kick to
the body, and though it was blocked, it gives his opponent
something else to think about. Khan continues to lean on the jab.
Dean again asks for more action. Folayang targets the body with
punches but allows Khan to circle out of danger and eats a jab for
his troubles. Then it happens.
Out of nowhere, Folayang closes in and lands a concussive left
hook. Khan hits the deck, where he is met with a few more punches
before Dean can arrive on the scene
.

The Official Result

Eduard Folayang def. Amir Khan—KO (Punches) 1:57 R3

Round 1

Rungrawee introduces himself to the Russian with a thudding body
kick. They size up one another in the center of the cage. Menshikov
connects with a right uppercut and cuts loose with follow-up
punches and elbows. Rugrawee zeroes in on the body and right arm
with kicks. They trade clinch knees. Rungrawee’s kicks are
something to behold, hence the “Legatron” nickname. Menshikov
floors whim with a flurry. After the count, Menshikov knocks him
down again. Rungrawee answers with a straight left and briefly
stumbles Menshikov. However, the Russian refuses to retreat.

He swarms Rungrawee with punches, lands multiple uppercuts and
sends him to the canvas for a third time, resulting in the
automatic stoppage
.

The Official Result

Dmitry Menshikov def. Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong—TKO (Punches) 2:41

Round 1

Bloodthirsty bantamweights figure to get the blood boiling, with
Lineker (36-10, 5-1 ONE) setting his sights on Loman (16-2, 3-0
ONE) at 145 pounds. On an 11-fight winning streak, Loman has not
lost since Jan. 16, 2016. Dean answers the call as the third man in
the cage. Lineker gets busy with an inside leg kick, followed by a
right cross. Loman skirts around the outside of the cage, throws a
push kick to the body and misfires on a head kick. Lineker pursues
the Filipino standout with right hands but lands nothing of
significance. Loman changes levels, executes a double-leg takedown
and goes to work in half guard. Short punches, elbows and forearm
strikes fall. Loman moves behind the Brazilian, maintains control
and drags him away from the cage. Lineker reverses into top
position midway through the round. Loman gets to his feet without
much trouble, shoots on another takedown attempt and presses “Hands
of Stone” into the fence. Lineker spins around Loman with double
underhooks, winning the leverage battle along the cage. They move
into open space, and Lineker scores with another inside leg kick.
Loman works angles from his southpaw stance but fails to create the
desired openings. Close, competitive round. SHERDOG VIRTUAL
SCORE: 10-9 Loman

Round 2

Lineker takes the center of the cage and presses forward. Loman
pops the Brazilian with a low kick, then one to the body. Lineker
denies a takedown and keeps his counterpart where he wants him.
Loman steps into a left cross and continues to lean on kicks to all
levels. Lineker shrugs off another attempted takedown, commands the
center of the cage and follows a jab with a jarring overhand right.
Loman eats it without issue. Business starting to pick up on the
feet. Both men probe with jabs. An accidental eye poke from Loman
results in a pause to the action. Once the fight resumes, Lineker
turns way another takedown attempt. Loman paws with his jab and
sneaks in a kick to the body. Lineker goes to the body with both
hands than sends a sweeping right hook crashing into his opponent’s
head. Loman works his jab but leaves himself open for shots to the
body. Lineker wobbles him with a left hook, then turns his
attention back to the body. Loman answers with multiple jabs. Much
better round for the Brazilian. SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9
Lineker

Round 3

Probably still anyone’s fight at the start of the third period.
Lineker again takes the center of the cage and fires a right hook
to the body. Loman shoots on the hips but cannot secure the
takedown. Lineker pushes away and moves back into open space.
Another right hook to the body lands for the Brazilian. Lineker
denies a takedown and lets his heavy hands go to the body. Loman
having issues finding answers, then lands a kick south of the
border. Shins and scrotums do not mix. After a brief pause, they
get back to it. Loman calls on his jab and does so in multiples.
Lineker answers with a three-punch volley: two to the body and one
to the head. The Brazilian denies a takedown and powers into top
position with less than two minutes on the clock. Lineker applies
some ground-and-pound, backs out and retreats to an upright
position. Loman shoots on another takedown and fails yet again.
Lineker tries to get the crowd involved, shuts down another bid for
a takedown and ups the aggression with his punches. Loman narrowly
misses a head kick but appears to have run out of answers as the
bell sounds. SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9 Lineker (29-28
Lineker)

The Official Result

John Lineker def. Stephen Loman—Unanimous Decision

Round 1

A special rules striking bout between current ONE women’s
strawweight champion Jingnan Xiong and Nat Jaroonsak buoys the bill
at a 129-pound catchweight. Only punches are allowed. Coste draws
the officiating assignment. Jaroonsak looks to get her jab going.
Xiong throws in bursts, as the two women begin to settle in. Xiong
lands a standing hammerfist to the back of the head, prompting
Coste to hit the pause button. Jaroonsak bursts out of the respite
throwing punches in bunches. A right hand backs up Xiong. The
Chinese star mixes sweeping hooks with hammerfists, setting off a
fiery exchange. They meet one another with wild hooks in the pocket
as the round ends. SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9
Xiong

Round 2

Xiong targets the body, then goes upstairs with an overhand left.
Jaroonsak works her jab and looks to counter. Both women connect in
another wild exchange. The power punches flow, with little
attention paid to defense. Xiong doing a better job of going to the
body on occasion. Xiong, the aggressor, unloads with sweeping hooks
from both hands at the close of the round. A few land. Most miss.
SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9 Xiong

Round 3

They duck in and let their hands go. Jaroonsak goes back to the
jab, then lands a nice right-hook combo. However, she fails to
follow up with something more substantial. Xiong now pairing jabs
of her own with overhands from both sides. The pace appears to be
taking a toll on Jaroonsak. Xiong circles slowly on the perimeter.
Jaroonsak lands a left hook to the body and a right to the head.

Xiong backs her toward the fence and unloads with power punches.
Coste breaks them up. Upon the restart, Xiong pushes Jaroonsak to
the cage again and cuts loose with punches until the referee
decides he has seen enough

ONE 115-Pound Submission Grappling Title Fight:
Danielle
Kelly
vs. Jessa
Khan

Round 1

The inaugural ONE submission grappling women’s atomweight title
hangs in the balance in a showdown between Kelly and Khan at 115
pounds. Sulaiman serves as the referee. Kelly presses the issue
right out of the gate and works through some hand fighting
exchanges. Khan pulls guard with a body lock, as the still-standing
Kelly pushes her into the cage. Khan attacks the leg, but Kelly
seems wise to her advances, at least initially. Kelly powers back
into top position. Khan sets her sights on a kneebar, as Kelly
again successfully defends. Neither woman has a discernible
advantage. Khan sweeps into top position, scrambles to the back and
threads her hooks, then cements her dominance with a body triangle.
Khan makes a pass at a rear-naked choke/face crank. Kelly somehow
turns into top position and avoids danger. She stands and a brief
stalemate ensues. Kelly counters a kneebar with an attempted heel
hook and gets credited with a catch. They stand, and Khan again
pulls guard, only to be pressed against the cage. Time starting to
become a factor, with Kelly believed to be in the lead. The referee
breaks them apart. Kelly immediately closes the distance and moves
into the clinch. Both women are attacking the legs again, with a
minute left in the match. Kelly stays aggressive. Khan scrambles on
top and makes a pass at an Achilles lock. Kelly takes top position

Round 1

The 18-year-old Sundell defends her ONE muay thai women’s
strawweight championship opposite Rodrigues in the co-main event.
Phontue answers the call as the third man in the cage. They touch
gloves, and off they go. Sundell marches into the pocket, cuts
loose with punches and hammers home a body kick. Rodrigues looks to
keep the Swede at bay with push kicks to the gut. They clinch and
trade knees and elbows on the inside. Already a hematoma forming
above Sundell’s right eye. Rodrigues closes the distance and
delivers a pair of wicked elbows. The Brazilian blasts punches to
the body and connects with more elbows upstairs. Sundell should
probably change course here. More output for Rodrigues. A left hook
from Sundell wobbles Rodrigues at the end of the round and sends
her back to the corner clearly dazed. SHERDOG VIRTUAL
SCORE: 10-9 Rodrigues

Round 2

Sundell steps into the center of the cage, pushes the Brazilian
onto the back foot and lets the punches fly. Straight punches are
finding a home for the Swede. Sundell mixes in a few elbows.
Non-stop action from these two. Rodrigues does what she can to
answer with kicks to the body, but she cannot match the champion’s
overwhelming output. They trade knees in the clinch as the pace
slows. Rodrigues walks through a left hook and fires a right elbow
over the top. Sundell refuses to give ground. Rodrigues clearly
trying to close the distance and get on the inside. The Brazilian
enjoys some success in the clinch late in the round.
SHERDOG VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9 Sundell

Round 3

elbows to the head and knees to the body. Sundell separates and
connects with a brutal left hook. Not sure how the Brazilian is
still standing. Rodrigues goes back to the clinch, but the champion
seems to have grown wise to her efforts. Sundell catches her coming
forward with punches. Rodrigues continues to pursue the clinch and
absorbs punishment as a result. Sundell unleashing all her weapons
here, stepping into her elbows and knees. Fatigue looks to have set
in on Rodrigues.
Sundell batters the Brazilian with knees, punches and elbows. This
might not last much longer. Sundell keeps firing strikes until the
referee calls for the standing stoppage
.

The Official Result

Smilla Sundell def. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues—TKO (Punches and
Elbows) 2:58 R3

Round 1

Atomweights close the show in the five-round headliner, where
Fairtex (10-2, 10-2 ONE) collides with Ham (26-8, 3-0 ONE) for the
vacant championship at 115 pounds. Incumbent titleholder Angela Lee
announced her retirement from mixed martial arts moments before the
bout. The 36-year-old Ham has won nine fights in a row—a streak
that extends all the way back to 2016. Coste serves as the referee.
Ham rushes to the center, where Fairtex meets her with an inside
leg kick. Not much happening through the first minute, prompting
Coste to urge action. Fairtex leaning heavily on kicks to the body
and lead leg. Both women exercising caution, which is
understandable considering the stakes. Ham steps into a lead left
but fails to follow it with anything of substance. The South Korean
vet activates her kicks, giving Fairtex one more weapon about which
to worry. A very tepid start to the main event. SHERDOG
VIRTUAL SCORE: 10-9 Ham

Round 2

Fairtex taps Ham with a leg kick and follows with a pair of kicks
to the body. Ham paws with her jab but appears to be in no hurry to
change gears. Fairtex connects with another kick to the inside of
the leg. Those will pay dividends in the long run. She doubles up
on her kicks, landing one to the leg and another to the body.
Fairtex misses an elbow off the clinch, resets and connects with a
kick to the body, followed by a right hand. Ham eats heavy kicks to
the body, then floors the off-balance Thai with a left hand over
the top. She jumps in top position and goes to work in full guard.
Fairtex fires the hips on an attempted armbar and largely
neutralizes the former Rizin Fighting Federation champion from the
bottom. In the closing seconds, Fairtex locks in an armbar and
nearly finishes it as the bell sounds. SHERDOG VIRTUAL
SCORE: 10-9 Fairtex

Round 3

Ham quickly closes the distance, lets her hands go and dives into
the clinch.
Fairtex breaks away, resets in open space and doubles over Ham with
a right hand to the body. She gives chase, forced Ham backward and
batters the midsection with knees and punches. Ham folds at the
base of the cage and can no longer intelligently defend herself.
Coste steps in
