🚨 Nassourdine Imavov on why he isn’t
interested in the Caio Borralho fight:„He’ll get KOed. He’ll sleep. Then they’re gonna say ‚It’s normal.
He was [ranked] #1, you see‘.Advertisement

Nassourdine
Imavov believes losing to him would be Caio
Borralho’s biggest claim to fame.
Borralho was rallying for a matchup against Imavov until recently.
However, Imavov explained why the matchup didn’t make sense for
him. The
UFC middleweight contender has no doubt that he would knock
Borralho out. However, the Frenchman believes Borralho’s team would
then claim that it was expected that he would lose to the top
contender.
„He’ll get KO’ed. He’ll sleep,” Imavov said. “Then they’re gonna
say ‚It’s normal. He was [ranked] No. 1, you see.’ That’s their way
of managing their careers. Falling forwards, you get it. It’s
better to fall forwards than backwards. He comes against the No. 1,
gets his ass kicked. Then they’ll say, ‘Well that’s normal, he’s
No. 1, he’ll recover and come back stronger. So wait your turn.
Little by little. You have to [be] patient in life.“
Imavov is riding a four-fight winning streak and coming off his
biggest career win: a finish against former champ Israel
Adesanya. Meanwhile, Borralho is undefeated in seven UFC
outings and coming off a decision win over veteran contender
Jared
Cannonier. “The Natural” has now seemingly shifted focus from
Imavov and is teasing a fight against Khamzat
Chimaev.
