According to Muhammad
Mokaev,
Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White doesn’t forget
fighters even if they are no longer with the promotion.
Mokaev (14-0), a former UFC flyweight, recently revealed that White
helped him months after parting ways with the promotion. Mokaev’s
UFC contract was not renewed after a unanimous decision win over
Manel
Kape in July 2024. While many blamed his wrestling-heavy style,
there were also reports of behavioral issues with which brass had a
problem. Mokaev recently said that it wasn’t White, but the
matchmakers who didn’t want him on the UFC roster.
To make things worse, Muhammad lost control of his Mercedes-Benz
A35 AMG and had an accident in Dagestan a month following his
release. The undefeated flyweight revealed that White sent him
money after the accident, which meant a lot to him.
“When I had car crash after being cut from UFC I received some
money from Dana too, not sure what for but it meant a lot to me,”
Mokaev wrote.
Mokaev subsequently earned a stoppage win under the
Brave Combat Federation banner, followed by another at Karate
Combat. “The Punisher” is set to return to mixed martial arts
against Alisher
Gabdullin at
971 Fighting Championship on June 14 at Coca-Cola Arena in
Dubai.
