Buckley refused to touch gloves before the fight, setting the tone
for a tense opening round. Neither man committed to sustained
offense early, but the pace increased in the second, when Malott
found the decisive strike.

at UFC Edmonton
Malott (15-2-1) brought the crowd to its feet with a knee to
Buckley’s jaw midway through the second round, sending the
American’s mouthpiece flying. Buckley fell face-first to the
canvas, and Malott followed with a punch before the stoppage at
2:32. Buckley dropped to 21-9, while Malott strengthened his case
for a place in the welterweight top 10. Jasmine
Jasudavicius took another step toward a flyweight title shot
with a unanimous decision over Erin
Blanchfield. Jasudavicius controlled the first two rounds with
takedowns and submission attempts but could not secure a finish.
Blanchfield (14-3) rallied with clean punches in the third, but all
three judges scored the fight 29-28 for Jasudavicius, who improved
to 16-4.
Mexico’s Cristian
Perez needed just 27 seconds to knock out Kyle Nelson
in his UFC debut. Perez (16-2) mixed a knee into a flurry of
punches,
dropped Nelson and finished with hammerfists. Nelson (17-8-1)
attempted to grapple with referee Jason Herzog after the
stoppage.
Marc-Andre
Barriault survived Kyle
Daukaus’ early grappling attack before stopping him in their
middleweight bout. Barriault (18-11) escaped to his feet, landed a
knee in the clinch and took control on the ground.
Punches and elbows prompted referee Marc Goddard
to intervene at 4:28 of the first round, dropping Daukaus to
17-6.
Timothy
Cuamba used his grappling to submit Louis
Jourdain in the second round. Cuamba (11-4) repeatedly took
Jourdain down, secured back control and threatened a rear-naked
choke
before switching to a neck crank. Jourdain (9-4) tapped at
2:48.
Mandel
Nallo stopped Nate
Landwehr early in the second round of their lightweight bout.
Nallo (15-4) repeatedly hurt Landwehr with crisp punches and heavy
leg kicks in the first. Another leg kick sent Landwehr (18-9) to
the canvas in the second, and follow-up punches prompted referee
Luke
Boutin to
stop the fight at 47 seconds.
Tanner
Boser dominated Jhonata
Diniz before
stopping him late in the third round. Boser (23-11-1)
repeatedly took Diniz down and landed ground-and-pound until
referee Jason Herzog intervened at 4:26. Diniz fell to 9-3, closing
a preliminary card in which every bout ended inside the
distance.
Middleweight prospect Nick
Galanti submitted Julien
Leblanc in 86 seconds. Galanti (9-1) secured an early takedown,
maintained control and
worked his way to the back before forcing a tap with a face
crank. Leblanc dropped to 10-4.
In a back-and-forth heavyweight bout, Joel
Faglier rallied to stop Javad
Mahjoub in the second round. Mahjoub (5-1) hurt Faglier
repeatedly in the first but could not finish him. Faglier (7-0)
attacked the body as Mahjoub tired,
then overwhelmed him with punches until referee Marc Goddard
stopped the fight at 2:11.
Flyweight Katlyn
Cerminara stopped Mackenzie
Stiller late in the first round. Cerminara (19-6) used her
reach to keep Stiller at bay before hurting her with a left head
kick along the fence. Stiller (6-2) tried to retreat, but
Cerminara followed with punches until referee Luke Boutin
intervened at 4:46.
Steven
Koslow controlled Chad
Anheliger for much of their bantamweight bout
before submitting him with a rear-naked choke. Koslow (7-1)
scored repeated takedowns and landed the cleaner strikes on the
feet. Anheliger (13-9) tapped at 4:31 of the third round.

before sweeping her and securing a kimura. Croden (8-4) tried
to escape but tapped at 4:52 of the first round. Chandler improved
