ESPN announced on Friday that Darren Till (18-3-1) has suffered an injury and has been forced to withdraw from his headlining contest against Jack Hermansson (21-5). In his stead atop the Dec. 5 Fight Night card will be Kevin Holland (20-5). According to ESPN, Hermansson wanted to face a ranked opponent, but as others declined, Hermansson decided he would remain on the card and take on Holland.

On Friday, MMA DNA reported that Sasha Palatnikov (5-2) has signed with the UFC to meet fellow newcomer Louis Cosce (7-0) at UFC 255. The two welterweights will lock horns at the UFC Apex on Nov. 21. Cosce has since confirmed his appearance on the card on his Instagram page. He will be competing alongside his brother Orion Cosce, when the latter takes on Nicolas Dalby also at welterweight.

Cosce earned a contract on Dana White's Contender Series when he flattened Victor Reyna in 72 seconds in August. Throughout his relatively young pro career that also saw him win by knockout in 18 seconds at a Combate Americas card in 2019, Cosce has finished all of his opponents in the opening round. That’s when Blachowicz told ESPN he’d be ready to make his first title defense. The newly-crowned light heavyweight champion is expecting his first child with his wife in December, and his native Poland is still struggling to combat COVID-19. Blachowicz defeated Dominick Reyes to claim the vacant belt at UFC 253 on Sept. 26, and UFC president Dana White recently revealed that reigning middleweight champ Israel Adesanya will be next to challenge Blachowicz.
