Nunes in the UFC 334 bantamweight title fight
According to Guilherme Cruz, Edwards (18-6) will weigh in as a
potential replacement should Harrison or Nunes be unable to
compete.
The Panamanian has won five consecutive fights, including four by
stoppage, most recently defeating Norma
Dumont by unanimous decision. She went 4-4 in her first eight
UFC appearances before starting her current streak.
Nunes retired in 2023 before arranging a comeback against former
American Top Team teammate Harrison at
UFC 324 in January. The bout was postponed after Harrison
suffered a neck injury that required surgery.
