Jamahal
Hill and Jiri
Prochazka have no bad blood between them after sharing the
Octagon at UFC
311.
Hill took on Prochazka in a high stakes light heavyweight matchup
at UFC 311 this past weekend in Los Angeles. Prochazka hurt “Sweet
Dreams” multiple times before knocking him out in the third frame.
Hill subsequently posted a clip of himself drinking with Prochazka
and congratulated “BJP” on his victory.
“First of congratulations to [Jiri
Prochazka]. You made great adjustments and gave me a hell of a
fight!!!” Hill wrote on Instagram. “I want to thank everybody that
reached out with love and support I truly appreciate you all!!! My
fire has never burned hotter or brighter for my future and growth!!
Fighting against the elite of the elite is an honor and blessing
that I don’t take for granted and yes it comes with some hard
lessons but this is my journey and I’m going to set the course back
right!!! Negative and hate are from those that know where they
stand beneath you and want to bring you down to their level!! My
head is high, my heart is full and I can’t wait for my time to
shine again Sweet Dreams Nation we move forward and onward!!!”
Prochazka also detailed his interaction with Hill in a recent
interview with Ariel Helwani. Prochazka bought Hill vodka when they
came across each other in bar and the two chugged shots together.
Prochazka also had words of praise for Hill as a person. While
“Sweet Dreams” was really brash with his trash talk leading up to
the fight, Prochazka doesn’t mind putting it behind him.
“We saw each other after the fight in the bar,” Prochazka said.
“When we went back in the hotel, I bought him the glass of vodka.
So we took a shot both. And I just told him like, ‘We fight
together, we drink together, all good between us.’ And he is the
same. He’s a good guy man, really good guy. And in some situations
I don’t know why he was, like before the fight – we spoke about his
speeches and all these things. But right now I really don’t care.
It’s behind us.”

Hill won the title against Glover
Teixeira at UFC 283 in 2023 but had to vacate it soon after
tearing his Achilles tendon in a game of pickup basketball. The
former champ has since suffered consecutive stoppage losses against
Alex
Pereira and Prochazka. Meanwhile, Prochazka also won the belt
against Teixeira at UFC 275 in 2022 but was forced to vacate it due
to a shoulder injury. The Czech has since alternated two failed
title bids against Pereira between stoppage wins over Aleksandar
Rakic and Hill.
