Smith doesn’t want to spend his bonus money on a trip to Disney
World.
Smith took on fellow undefeated prospect Josiah
Harrell in a welterweight matchup at
UFC Houston on Saturday. “Cobe” capitalized on a takedown
attempt by Harrell, took side control, and finished him with
ruthless ground-and-pound in the first round. The finish secured a
$100,0-00 “Performance of the Night” bonus for Smith in the new
Paramount era. However, upon securing the finish, Smith was first
worried about spending the money on a trip to Disney World. Smith’s
children had asked him for a trip to Disney World if he secured a
bonus for his win. Smith called for Disney World to sponsor his
family trip if they are listening.

“First thing that went through my mind after it happened – my
daughter and my son were like, ‘If you win the bonus, can we go to
Disney World?’” Smith told the UFC. “So I’m like, ‘I’m gonna win
all this money, but I’m going to give it to Disney World.’ So if
Disney World out there, you looking around, want to sponsor me a
free trip, hook it up.”
Smith (12-0) also called out Kevin
Holland in his post-fight Octagon interview. Elaborating on his
callout, the undefeated prospect explained that he doesn’t want to
rush his way into fighting ranked opponents just yet.
Taking the Proper Steps
“I feel like he’s a little bit outside of the top 15, they got me
around at top 25l,” Smith said. “That will be a steady pace to move
at. I feel like I haven’t fought nobody with his length and style,
so getting there and see what breaks when we hook up.”
Holland (28-15) is on a two-fight slump and 2-2 in his last four.
“Trailblazer” is now scheduled to fight Randy Brown
at UFC 327 on April 11 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
Meanwhile, Smith has finished all three of his UFC outings since
his debut in the promotion last year. Smith wants to be extra
active in 2026 and is potentially eyeing a title shot by next
year.
“I would like two or three more fights after Kevin
Holland if that does happen,” Smith said. “Somebody inside of
the Top 10 for sure and then another one inside of that. I say,
early 2027, one or two fights put me into whoever is the champion
at that time.”
“I’m ready to start training for another
opponent right now.”Jacobe
Smith has lofty expectations for himself as he extended his
undefeated record to 12-0.
