Igor Cavalcanti earns UFC contract in second DWCS
appearance
In his second appearance on DWCS, the action began at a chaotic
pace, with both fighters immediately looking to land damaging
strikes. Cavalcanti eventually found the mark with a powerful right
hand that sent Ravello to the canvas.
Ravello managed to survive the initial onslaught and continued
firing back while attempting to stay in the bout. Cavalcanti,
however, maintained the pressure and repeatedly connected with
ground strikes. Referee Kevin
MacDonald eventually stepped in to halt the bout after 98
seconds. The victory gave Cavalcanti his first DWCS win after
falling short in his previous appearance in 2024.
“First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the
opportunity,” Cavalcanti said in his post-fight interview. “You
know, to breathe and to be able to fight and do what we love… We
are brawlers, we love to brawl.”
TOO MUCH IN ROUND 1 👏
