Round 1

Herb Dean will oversee this welterweight contest. Micallef comes
out throwing straight punches and Ado lands a body kick. Micallef
catches a second offering and pushes his man into the fence. They
battle for position in the clinch and Ado reverses position and
lands a knee. They move off the fence but remain engaged, and
they’re both throwing knees. Micallef tosses his foe to the canvas,
but Ado is able to return to his feet in short order. The clinch
battle resumes. Micallef tries for a trip but Ado reverses it. Ado
locks in a power guillotine during a scramble, but Micallef frees
himself. Micallef transitions to a triangle on his back, and Ado’s
arm also appears to be vulnerable in this position.

Micallef has the triangle choke locked in tight, pulling down on
Ado’s head. He looks to Dean, and he indicates that his opponent is
out. Dean checks to confirm, and Ado is indeed
unconscious.
A quick technical submission victory for
the Aussie.

Round 1

Jason Herzog is in charge of this strawweight pairing. Martinez
opens up with a side kick that misses the mark. Hernandez follows a
jab with a leg kick. A straight right gets through for Hernandez.
Hernandez catches a kick and shoves her foe to the floor. Back at
range, Hernandez shows off her boxing, tagging her opponent with a
series of straight shots. Martinez gets the fight to the mat and
looks to take the back. Hernandez powers her way back up and just
misses an elbow on the break. Martinez kicks the body. Hernandez
makes Martinez stumble with a low kick. Hernandez lands a body kick
and then she goes inside with a low kick. The Mexican connects with
a right against Martinez, who forces the clinch and shoves her foe
into the fence. Hernandez lands a solid knee in the clinch and then
works to fend off a takedown from her opponent. They break from the
clinch, and Hernandez targets the lead leg. Hernandez pressures
behind a punching combination. Martinez misses an overhand and a
high kick as Hernandez angles out. Martinez remains active with her
kicks, and partially connects with a spinning kick to the body.
Moments later, Martinez executes a nicely timed takedown and
settles into top position. Hernandez stays busy with elbows from
her back. Martinez hovers and dives back into guard. She’ll end the
round in top position.

Round 2

Martinez forces the clinch behind a kicking attack and then drops
low for a single leg against the fence. Hernandez breaks free and
circles out. Hernandez steps in and connects with a solid right.
Martinez answers with a combination. The action gets hot and heavy
on the feet for a few moments before Martinez gets a takedown.
Martinez moves to full mount and then transitions to Hernandez’s
back. Martinez is able to get her hooks in, but Hernandez reverses
and scrambles ot her feet shortly thereafter. Another solid right
lands for Hernandez, who counters a kick with a lead hook. Martinez
shoots and then jumps on her foe’s back, making “Dora the
Destroyer” carry her like a backpack. Hernandez fights off the
hands and Martinez gives up on the position. However, Martinez is
still grinding Hernandez into the fence, making her adversary work.
Martinez lands a knee in close and then cracks the Mexican fighter
with a leaping switch knee as they separate. Hernandez eats it
without issue. Hernandez fires a combination and denies a takedown
attempt. Hernandez sticks a left jab, punishing Martinez for a lead
body kick. Hernandez partially lands an overhand but eats a head
kick from Martinez at the horn.

Round 3

Martinez shoots from distance and pushes Hernandez into the wire.
Hernandez defends nicely and gets some space to land a combination.
Martinez fires back and lands as well. A nice three-punch combo
lands for Hernandez. Martinez forces the clinch and attacks with a
high kick and knee in close before moving to Hernandez’s back,
where she drags her foe to the mat. Martinez briefly has her hooks
in before Hernandez reverses. Hernandez threatens with a heel hook,
but Martinez navigates the danger and escapes to top position.
Hernandez gets to a knee as Martinez looks to take the back.
Hernandez tries to spin to the inside, but Martinez gets a mat
return. Hernandez is right back up, fighting her opponent’s hands.
Hernandez reverses and lands a right in close before they go back
to range. Hernandez kicks the body. A spinning elbow misses for
Hernandez. Martinez briefly gets the back in the clinch, but they
separate quickly. Hernandez goes on the offensive in the waning
seconds, but a spinning back kick doesn’t land with much force
before the horn.

Round 1

Herb Dean will ref this featherweight scrap. Monteiro lands an
inside leg kick early. Del Valle answers in turn. Another solid
inside low kick lands for Del Valle, who follows up with another.
Del Valle gets busy with punches and he puts on the pressure, which
leads to Monteiro initiating the clinch after eating a heavy shot.
Del Valle reverses and shoves the Brazilian into the wire. Del
Valle stays busy with knees to the thighs. Del Valle continues to
chip away with knees to the thighs and he maintains control of the
clinch. Del Valle creates space briefly to land a short elbow.
Monteiro is struggling to free himself from the position, but
eventually he is able to turn his man around. Most of the offense
has belonged to Del Valle thus far, however. Del Valle cranks on
the neck from an awkward angle, and Monteiro takes him down. Del
Valle scoots to a seated position, and he still has one arm around
the neck. Del Valle lets it go and explodes to his feet. Del Valle
jumps on a guillotine and leans back, applying the squeeze on his
standing foe in the waning seconds. Monteiro is able to hold on
until the horn, but he looks dizzy when his opponent relents on the
hold.

Round 2

Del Valle goes back to the inside low kick. Del Valle pressures
behind power punches, but it’s Monteiro who lands a solid counter
during the exchange. Del Valle is swinging away in close and he
lands a couple before clinching. Del Valle is pressuring, landing
to the body. Del Valle pours it on, landing knees to the body and
multiple elbows ot the head. Monteiro is absorbing plenty of damage
in this exchange. Del Valle finds the liver with a punch and
Monteiro covers up. More elbows from Del Valle, and Monteiro is on
the move. Del Valle follows and shoves him back into the fence,
where more eblows and punches land. Monteiro digs deep and fires
back with punches. Del Valle changes levels and lands a takedown
against the fence. He lands some ground and pound before Monteiro
stands. Del Valle looks for another takedown and Monteiro lands
some elbows to the side of the head. Del Valle maintains a body
lock against the fence, and both fighters appear to be catching
their breath after a wild sequence. They separate and Monteiro tees
off with a heavy combination. Del Valle moves forward and lands a
spinning back fist. They’re trading in the pocket, but it’s Del
Valle landing with superior volume. The Cubn shoots for a takedown
with about 20 seconds to go. Del Valle will end the round pressing
Monteiro into the fence.

Round 3

Monteiro lands an inside leg kick and follows with a solid
combination. More clean shots land for the Brazilian. Del Valle
changes levels but Monteiro denies the attempt. Del Valle with an
inside leg kick. Del Valle initiates the clinch, but Monteiro is
able to disengage quickly. Monteiro marches forward winging
punches. Del Valle lands a left in an exchange. Del Valle applies
the pressure and attacks with punches in close. Moments later, Del
Valle shoots for a takedown and Monteiro catches him in a
guillotine. The Brazilian loses the grip and Del Valle tees off
with a barrage of elbows and hammerfists. Monteiro is busted open.
Del Valle mixes in body work from above before dropping more elbows
and hammerfists. Monteiro works his way to the fence and stands
with less than a minute to go. They separate and Monteiro denies a
takedown. Monteiro goes on the offensive, attacking with a sense of
urgency. They’re trading in close, and Del Valle loses his
mouthpiece as both men are landing offense. A bloodied Monteiro
wades forward but gets sucked into the clinch in the final seconds.

Round 1

Jason Herzog will be the third man in the cage for this flyweight
tussle. Piccininni works behind his jab but wastes little time
taking his foe’’s back and slamming Gurule to the mat. Piccininni
is hunting for a rear-naked choke immediately, but Gurule fights it
off and stands. Gurule just misses a spinning elbow and Piccininni
is on the back. Back at range, Piccininni makes Gurule lose his
balance with a front kick to the chest. He shoots as Gurule
attempts to get to his feet. Gurule is able to avoid the takedown
and separate. At range, Gurule lands an uppercut and a right cross.
The pace has slowed after a furious start from Piccininni. Gurule
lands a combination and puts Piccininni on his heels for a moment.
Gurule uses a front kick to maintain the range. Gurule with a lead
hook to the body. Piccininni fires off his jab. Gurule looks calm
and composed in these exchanges. He backs up Piccininni with a
combination. Another front kick to the gut lands for Gurule. Gurule
is mixing up his attacks blending kicks and punching combinations
well. With less than a minute to go, Piccininni gets inside and
slams Gurule down. Gurule gets up in a hurry. Piccininni lands a
combination in close. Gurule digs to the body. Gurule ends the
round with a high quick and a strong finish.

Round 2

Gurule gets back to putting it on Piccininni with his boxing early.
Piccininni is covering up and Gurule tags him with a head kick.
Piccininni gets a takedown but Gurule reverses the All-American.
They scramble back up and battle in the clinch. Gurule punches the
body and Piccininni gets a mat return. Gurule pops right back up.
Piccininni has the rear body lock against the fence, landing some
knees to the thigh. Gurule gets an underhook and frees himself.
Gurule follows a front kick with a solid combination. Another head
kick lands for Gurule, who is dominating exchanges. Piccininni
forces the clinch and lands a series of uppercuts followed by a
knee. Piccininni is having some success with uppercuts in close.
Gurule throws a low kick and Piccininni shoots, landing a takedown.
He jumps on the back as Gurule stands. Piccininni can’t maintain
the position but he pushes Gurule into the fence and drops low. He
gets Gurule down, but it’s only for a monent. Gurule tries to jump
off the fence but he can’t break Piccininni’s grip. Piccininni is
making Gurule carry his weight, but he isn’t landing offense.
Piccininni lands a knee on the break. They trade at range in the
waning seconds, with both men landing.

Round 3

Gurule is warned for open fingers. Gurule moves forward and lands a
combination. Piccininni pumps out his jab. Gurule keeps the
pressure on, mixing his punches and kicks. Piccininni grabs the
clinch and lands a couple knees. The flyweights are trading
willingly, and Piccininni is having his moments as well. Gurule
stuffs a takedown during an exchange, but Piccininni is persistent
and he powers his man to the mat on a second attempt. Piccininni is
on the back of his opponent, peppering Gurule with short punches.
Piccininni is doing a good job of controlling the position, landing
offense. Gurule is eventually able to get to his feet, but he can’t
break Piccininni’s grip. Piccininni gets turned into the fence and
they stay in the clinch as they move off the wire. Gurule lands
short lefts to the body, and Piccininni fires a knee on the break.
Back at range, and Gurule defends a low shot from Piccininni.
Gurule waves Piccininni onward. Gurule lands a left uppercut right
hook combo. Piccininni grabs a leg and shoves Gurule into the
fence. Piccininni releases the leg and lands some punches before
the horn sounds.

Round 1

Herb Dean will officiate the evening’s featured middleweight
contest. Klein leads off with a push kick, and he quickly changes
levels for a takedown shortly thereafter. Klein lands some ground
and pound before taking the back in a scramble. He locks in a
rear-naked choke during the chaos, and even though his hooks aren’t
in, his arm is well under Souza’s chin. The Brazilian does his best
to fight it off, but Klein isn’t letting go. Klein floats over the
back of his opponent and forces Souza to go belly down.

Klein finally gets his hooks in and the choke is still secured.
Souza has no choice but to tap out.
A quick and
impressive finish for Klein on eight days’ notice.
