Dana
White is irked with the media for repeatedly bringing up Eddie
Hearn during his press conferences.
White and Hearn’s rivalry has been heating up ahead of the
long-awaited bout between Tyson Fury
and Anthony
Joshua, scheduled for Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in
Cardiff, Wales. While White claims he’s involved in promoting and
producing the fight alongside Turki Alalshikh, Hearn repeatedly
says the
Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO isn’t.

vs. Anthony Joshua
According to Hearn, White cannot get involved in the fight without
his approval because of contractual restrictions. The Matchroom
Boxing chairman recently said Sela, one of the companies promoting
the fight, gave him White’s number to arrange a meeting. While
Hearn claims to have texted White, he said White didn’t reply.
Responding to Hearn at the
Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10
Week 9 press conference, the Zuffa Boxing CEO said he saw no
reason to meet with the English promoter.
“There’s absolutely zero confusion,” White said. “Everything that I
have said, however long ago I’ve said it, is true. And now he is
open to meeting with me. About what? What should we possibly meet
about?”
White has said he’s handling television production for the fight.
Meanwhile, Hearn claims Sela has assured him that White is
contractually prohibited from handling production. Responding to
Hearn, White suggested Hearn could have grounds for a lawsuit.
“Sounds like he’s got an incredible lawsuit.”
White again doubled down on his involvement in the fight,
guaranteeing that he’s in charge of production. White said he’ll be
in Cardiff for the fight with his production crew before they fly
back to Las Vegas the next day for UFC
335.
“I’m producing the fight, I’m promoting the fight,” White
reiterated. “I’ll be there at the fight. And then I’ll fly right
back to Vegas for the UFC fight. And all of my producers and guys
from production will be flying with me. We already had the meeting
yesterday… This is so f*cking silly now. And the fact that you guys
are even asking me these questions.”
White also expressed irritation with reporters for repeatedly
questioning him about Hearn. He said the fight is between Fury and
Joshua, not him and Hearn.
“It’s not about me and him. He can’t stop talking about this. A.J.
and Fury is the fight. Who gives a sh*t about me and Eddie Hearn
other than you guys… Eddie and I are not the same. We’re not even
f*cking close.”
