Bally’s Corp. and BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing will bring their
latest Fightnight event to Mississippi on Friday, Oct. 23,
combining professional bare-knuckle boxing with technology that
measures punches and delivers real-time statistics to spectators
and television viewers.
The event at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is part of an
expanding partnership linking Bally’s casino properties, sports
technology and media distribution, the companies announced
Wednesday.

The collaboration centers on Bally’s proprietary ForceIQ
punch-tracking technology, which uses sensors embedded in fighters’
hand wraps to measure punch speed, retraction speed, punch type and
G-force. The companies say the information will appear on arena
displays and broadcasts, alongside fighter rankings, punch
breakdowns and other statistics.
The technology does not affect official fight scoring, according
to the announcement.
“Bally’s has always been about creating experiences you can’t
get anywhere else. We own the venue, we built the technology and we
control the distribution. That’s a 360 partnership few companies in
this space can offer, and we’re excited to keep building on it,”
Bally’s Chairman Soo Kim said.
The main event features former BKB lightweight champion Jarod
“Kid Gatti” Grant (8-3, six knockouts) against Luis “Pantera”
Guerrero (1-1, one knockout), who replaces previously scheduled
opponent Bekhzod
Usmonov.
In the co-main event, BKB light heavyweight champion Cub “The
Savage” Hawkins (10-1, nine knockouts) will move down to
middleweight to face unbeaten Rowdy Montgomery (2-0, one
knockout).
Other matchups include former
Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters Ike
Villanueva and Cody East,
while Biloxi native Monica “Phenomamom” Medina faces Claudia
Zamora. Brandon
Shavers meets German Ramos, and Jeff Denton
takes on Cody Jenkins.
The event begins at 8 p.m. ET and will be available through
Bally Sports Live and
EstrellaTV’s free, ad-supported streaming television channels.
Tickets are available through the event ticketing website.
BKB CEO David Tetreault said the partnership is intended to make
combat sports more interactive by combining competition with
detailed performance measurements.
The companies also announced another Fightnight event for Nov.
20 at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort in Delaware. Former world title
challenger Hank Lundy is scheduled to make his bare-knuckle boxing
debut against Jairo Santos, who is also making his debut.
