Belal
Muhammad
wants Kamaru
Usman
to win at UFC
Atlanta
despite their differences.

Usman headlines UFC on ESPN 69 against Joaquin
Buckley
(21-6) on Saturday at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta,
Georgia. Usman has publicly been feuding with Muhammad recently,
even coming close to blows on one occasion.

While they were trading barbs online for a while,
things allegedly escalated
when Muhammad appeared as a guest on
Usman’s podcast with Henry
Cejudo
. While the footage is yet to be released, Cejudo claims
hands were thrown, and he had to intervene with the production
crew.   However, Muhammad wants Usman to beat Buckley
this weekend to set up a future matchup with “The Nigerian
Nightmare.” Muhammad also laid down a path to victory for Usman,
which he believes is mostly about dictating the pace.

„Set the pace. Don’t get out of character… Keep your jab, you have
a good jab. You have good pace of pushing guys to the fence and
holding him there,” Muhammad said on YouTube. “And make it at your
speed, because Buckley’s gonna be a lot faster. Slow him down…
Don’t switch stances left and right. You’re not good from southpaw;
you get hit a lot. Stay righty, watch those big head kicks. Usman,
I’m cheering for you. I know you said there’s nothing there for you
with me next, but I want to see you win, and then I want to see you
in the cage.“

While Muhammad wants to fight Usman, the latter is eyeing a title
shot with a win over Buckley. Usman said that while he would have
been interested in fighting Muhammad in the past, the matchup
doesn’t excite him after “Remember the Name” lost his belt.
