Bellator
MMA
has a new broadcast home in the United States.

Professional Fighters League
, which purchased the promotion
last year, announced Tuesday that it has inked an exclusive media
rights agreement with Warner Brothers Discovery to air Bellator
Champions Series events on Max. This will include eight fight cards
in 2024, beginning with Fridayโ€™s event in Belfast. Bellator
Champions Series will be available on all Max plans, according to a
release.

In addition to live events, Max subscribers will have access to a
Bellator library of more than 300 previous events and 3,000 fights.
Two new docu-series โ€“ Fight Camp Confidential and Fight Week โ€“ will
debut today and Max and give viewers access to fighterโ€™s camps and
personal lives leading up to their bouts. Meanwhile, TNT Sports
will also offer Bellator content throughout the year through the
โ€œTNT Sports on truTVโ€ programming block, with further broadcast
details to be announced in the coming weeks.

โ€œFollowing our historic acquisition of Bellator, Professional
Fighters League is proud to partner with Warner Brothers Discovery
for the highly anticipated Bellator Champions Series to stream
exclusively on Max for fans across the United States, at no extra
cost to subscribers, when the global franchise launches on March
22,โ€ PFL CEO Peter Murray said in a release. โ€œWeโ€™re excited for
audiences to tune into Bellatorโ€™s new home on Max for eight
Bellator Champions Series events in 2024 taking place in iconic
cities around the globe, featuring world title fights and the
biggest stars in combat sports. Thereโ€™s an incredible demand for
premium, year-round MMA content from major media platforms and this
is the latest milestone in PFLโ€™s ambition to bring the sportโ€™s best
to audiences around the world.โ€

Max, which until May 2023 was known as HBO Max, includes movies and
original series from brands such as HBO, Warner Bros., HGTV and
Food Network on its service.

โ€œWe are thrilled to partner with Professional Fighters League to
introduce a new live sport to the U.S. Warner Bros. Discovery
content portfolio,โ€ said Josh
Walker
, chief financial & strategy officer for Warner Bros.
Discovery Streaming. โ€œThe addition of Bellator Champions Series
offers our viewers an opportunity to experience highly anticipated
mixed martial arts, nicely complementing our robust slate of
can’t-miss programming.โ€

Bellator Champions Series Belfast โ€“ entitled
Bellator 302
on Sherdogโ€™s event page โ€“ takes place on Friday at
SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland. Corey
Anderson
will square off against Karl Moore
for the vacant light heavyweight crown in the eveningโ€™s main event,
while Patricio
Freire
will defend his featherweight belt against Jeremy
Kennedy
in the co-headliner. The card begins at 1 p.m. ET/10
a.m. PT and will air in its entirety on Max.
