Josh
Parisian
will finally be able to call himself a
Ultimate Fighting Championship
fighter after his debut in
November.

The news first coming from
MMA Junkie
on Friday, Parisian (13-3) will be setting foot in
the Octagon for the first time against Parker
Porter
(9-6) in the heavyweight division. The two will be
squaring off at the
UFC Fight Night event on Nov. 28
at an undetermined location,
likely to be either the UFC Apex in Las Vegas or Yas Island in the
United Arab Emirates. Parisian has since confirmed the booking on
his Instagram.

Parisian will be finally making his promotional debut with a pair
of first-round knockout victories on Dana White’s Contender Series and a season of
“The Ultimate Fighter” under his belt. The heavyweight has scorched
each of his last six opponents, rattling off six knockouts since
his submission loss to Brett
Martin
in February 2019. His first win on the Contender Series
by spinning back fist, at the time he landed it, he was the first
fighter in any Zuffa-related company above welterweight to finish
an opponent with this strike.

Porter made his unsuccessful organizational debut in August, when
Chris
Daukaus
put him out with punches and a crushing knee. The
defeat halted a two-fight finish streak that saw him stop Dirlei
Broenstrup
and Kevin Ray
Sears
in the
CES MMA
organization. Porter posts a finish rate of 89 percent
throughout his 13-year career, while only going the distance one
time.

The UFC Fight Night card taking place on Nov. 28 does not currently
have a location determined. It will be headlined by a pivotal
heavyweight rumble, as Curtis
Blaydes
takes on Derrick
Lewis
. Also on the card is a women’s bantamweight match, where
Ashlee
Evans-Smith
will face former featherweight Norma
Dumont Viana
.
