Jacobe Smith credits improvements in his striking and wrestling
understanding before facing Randy Brown
Speaking at UFC media day, Smith said he is pleased with his
progress but recognizes areas that need more work.
“I know I could get much better,” Smith said. “There’s some spots
where I know I wanted to polish a little bit more. But I’m content
with where I’m at — at this moment — because I’ve developed very
well in my striking.”
Smith also said he has gained a deeper understanding of wrestling
techniques he paid less attention to during his collegiate
career.
“And even in my wrestling, even though I’m not competing at a
collegiate wrestling room, I’m starting to understand stuff that
works that I didn’t really look into when I was competing in
wrestling,” he continued.
He credited his approach to learning and handling challenges with
helping him improve.
“So, I’m taking everything as it comes and I’m dealing with it
professionally and it’s getting me to another level,” he said.
“I’d be damned if I let somebody take
something from me.” Jacobe
Smith is looking to keep his momentum rolling and dominate as
he readies to face Randy
Brown. #UFCVegas123 Fight by Fight Preview ➡️:
