Sean
Brady has withdrawn because of an injury from his scheduled
welterweight main event against Gabriel
Bonfim at
UFC Vegas 124 on Nov. 7, leaving the Brazilian without an
opponent at Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
MMA Fighting reported the
withdrawal Thursday, confirming an initial report from Brazilian
journalist Laerte Viana. The nature of Brady’s injury has not
been disclosed. The
Ultimate Fighting Championship is searching for a short-notice
replacement to face Bonfim.

Brady (19-2) was looking to build on his unanimous decision victory
over Joaquin
Buckley in May. The Philadelphia welterweight and Bonfim were
seeking to strengthen their positions in the division.
Bonfim (20-1) has won five consecutive fights, most recently
defeating former UFC welterweight champion Belal
Muhammad by unanimous decision in June.
The scheduled co-main event features a strawweight matchup between
Tatiana
Suarez and Virna
Jandiroba.
Tenho um furo chato para dar aqui: Sean
Brady se machucou e está fora da luta contra Gabriel Bonfim, que
lideraria o UFC Vegas do dia 7 de novembro. A organização procura
um novo oponente para o brasileiro. Sugestões de quem poderia pegar
essa vaga com 77kg? https://t.co/DfnPxmT9gF— Laerte Viana (@laertevianamma)
