Dumont’s rivalry further escalated after their clash on
Saturday.

Perez secured a unanimous decision over Dumont at Meta APEX in Las
Vegas on Sept. 26, with all three judges scoring the bout 29-28 in
her favor. The decision drew criticism online, with many arguing
that Dumont deserved the nod.

The animosity was palpable going into the fight and continued after
the final horn. They previously traded barbs online, with Perez
instigating some pre-fight drama by roping in Dumont’s boyfriend,

Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight Marco
Tulio. Dumont then threw condoms and money at Perez during the
pre-fight faceoff ahead of
UFC Vegas 121.

Following her decision win, Perez took another shot at Dumont on
Instagram.

“Thanks for the condoms [Norma Dumont], but I did not need to use
them to f*ck you,” Perez wrote on her Instagram stories. “Also, use
those 2 dollars to buy a Plan B, I think you might need it.”

Dumont, meanwhile, maintained that she deserved the victory and
suggested Perez’s reaction spoke for itself.

“I was going at it with her, trading blows and talking trash the
whole time,” Dumont said in Portuguese in an Instagram story (via
MMA Junkie). “She was desperate. She didn’t
have a prayer against me. I’m at peace and fully confident that I
won. There’s not a shadow of a doubt. She knows it too; that’s why
she was so desperate. Honestly, considering the absurd things I’ve
seen in MMA regarding results, I didn’t think it would go my
way.”

Dumont later shared an image of the official decision and
contrasted her expression with Perez’s reaction at the final
horn.

“Look at the expression of someone who knows they’ve lost. She
didn’t even believe the result,” she wrote.

The result extended Perez’s winning streak to seven and handed
Dumont her second consecutive defeat.
