The
Professional Fighters League’s return to North Carolina is
officially set following the
PFL Charlotte weigh-ins.
The 13-fight card will feature an important middleweight scrap as
the main event. Headliners Bryan
Battle and Dalton
Rosta both made weight for their headliner, as each contender
looks to get back into the win column. All other fighters also made
weight for the mixed martial arts event.
Battle (12-3, 1 NC) was most recently seen inside the PFL cage in a
losing effort to Johnny
Eblen. The former middleweight champion submitted „The Butcher“
with a face crank in under a round. The defeat broke a five-fight
undefeated streak for the American. The hometown fighter officially
weighed 185.6 pounds for the main event.
Looking to leave the crowd disappointed is Rosta (11-3). The
30-year-old fell short in his last two outings, getting knocked out
by both Impa
Kasanganay and Fabian
Edwards. Prior to the setbacks, „Hercules“ won three straight
fights, including a submission over Sadibou Sy.
The American Top Team product stepped on the scale at 185.8
pounds.
PFL Charlotte will air in its entirety on the ESPN app. The main
card starts at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, with the early card beginning
at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
