New Photo Reveals How Ilia Topuria Looks Two Weeks After His
Title Loss
As seen in a recent photo alongside a fan, Topuria’s face looks far
better now than it did following his defeat to Gaethje. Georgian
reporter Giorgi Kokiashvili shared the photo on X, wherein the
swelling around the fighter’s eyes had significantly reduced, along
with the bruising. Furthermore, cuts he sustained at the historic
White House fight also appear to have healed well.

Gaethje opened a cut under Topuria’s eye in the very first round of
their title fight, and piled on the damage in the third and fourth
rounds. The latter’s corner opted to call the bout before the final
round, and he lost the championship as a result.
Days after the fight, Topuria congratulated Gaethje in an Instagram
post, highlighted how the American effectively blinded him on the
night, and vowed that their rivalry is far from over.
“Justin, congratulations. You said you’d leave your mark on my
face… and you did,” he wrote after losing. “You took the sight from
my right eye in the first round, and by the end of the second, from
my left too. No excuses. I had one of the best camps of my life. I
came in sharp, prepared, and ready. Last night was your night.
That’s the nature of this game. Glory and pain walk side by side.
I’ll heal. I’ll rest. And I’ll return stronger, wiser, and far more
dangerous. And trust me… this story between us is far from over. We
will have our rematch.”
