The
Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to the French
capital later this year.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced on Tuesday that it will
hold a Fight Night card at the Accor Arena in Paris on Sept. 6. No
bouts were revealed for the event.
This will mark the fourth time the UFC has visited Paris since
2022. Most recently,
UFC Fight Night 243 saw Renato
Carneiro earn a second-round doctor stoppage victory against
Benoit St.
Denis in the evening’s headliner this past September. Prominent
French athletes who compete in the UFC include the likes of
Ciryl
Gane, Manon
Fiorot, Nassourdine
Imavov, Fares Ziam,
Oumar
Sy and St. Denis.
France became a viable destination for the UFC when the country
officially ended its ban on MMA in 2020.
