has found success after donning his soccer
shoes.

While McGregor hasn’t competed in MMA since 2021, the Dubliner
recently seems to have taken up a liking for soccer. McGregor
recently
flex a shoulder tackle
during a game, flooring his rival
player.

McGregor’s dabbling in soccer appears to be serious as he has now
led his team, Black Forge FC, to a UCFL Premier Division
championship win. The former two-division
UFC
champ shared posted highlights of the 4-3 title win over
Mountview CFC on Instagram.

“Elated and exhausted! Won a real tough league,” McGregor wrote.
“Winning the league is always the major statement for a team to
make! Very impressed and proud! Onwards and upwards we go!
#BlackForgeFCWinners”

McGregor hasn’t competed since breaking his leg in a trilogy fight
against Dustin
Poirier
in 2021. While he recovered within the next year, he
didn’t get into serious return talks until 2023. After starring as
rival coach against Michael
Chandler
on “The Ultimate Fighter 31,” the two were finally
matched up at UFC 303 last year. However, McGregor pulled out at
the last minute, citing a toe injury. While he continues to tease a
return now and then, Dana White recently said that “Notorious” is
unlikely to return anytime soon, and it’s been a while since they
have talked.
