The
Ultimate Fighting Championship kicks off a relatively light
April schedule with its return to Las Vegas after two international
events. The 12-fight card is now official after the UFC Vegas 105
weigh-ins took place, although one fight has been removed from the
event.

Headlining the card is a key featherweight fight between Josh Emmett
and the undefeated Lerone
Murphy. Both main event fighters had no issue making weight, as
both came in under 146 pounds. Also classified as a featherweight
is Cortavious
Romious, who missed the bantamweight limit by 3.5 pounds for
his fight against Chang Ho
Lee. As a result of the weight miss, Romious will be fined 20%
of his purse that will go to Lee. Additionally, Daniel
Santos was not medically cleared and could not weigh in, so his
fight against Davey Grant
is now off entirely.

Emmett (19-4) comes into the main event after sitting the entirety
of 2024 out. Now 40, the Team Alpha Male fighter is coming off a
vicious knockout win over Bryce
Mitchell. The featherweight has won six of his last eight
fights, although defeats to Ilia
Topuria and Yair
Rodriguez have shown his ceiling. Emmett will look to show that
age is just a number this Saturday and weighed 146 pounds on the
dot for the five-round fight.

This marks the biggest fight in the career of Murphy (15-0-1), who
has yet to taste defeat. Since fighting to a split draw against
Zubaira
Tukhugov in 2019, Murphy has seven straight fights inside the
UFC. Key victories include Dan Ige and
Edson
Barboza, proving the 33-year-old is a contender. „The Iceman“
stepped on the scale at 145.5 pounds.

UFC Vegas 105 will air in its entirety on ESPN and ESPN+ on
Saturday. Prelims begin at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, while the main card
kicks off at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
