Three new fights — each featuring an Australian — have been added
to the UFC 312
card scheduled for February.
Jimmy
Crute (12-4) will take on Marcin
Prachnio (17-8) at light heavyweight in front of home fans at
UFC 312 on Feb. 8 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
“The Brute” hasn’t won a fight since 2020, squeezing in a majority
draw between three losses. Meanwhile, Poland’s Prachnio has
alternated wins and losses since June 2021, most recently suffering
a submission loss against Modestas
Bukauskas at UFC 304
this past July.
Australian debutant Quillan
Salkilld (7-1) will take on India’s Anshul
Jubli (7-1) in a lightweight matchup on the same card. Salkilld
earned his contract with a unanimous decision win over Gauge Younge
on
Dana White’s Contender Series this past September, extending
his winning streak to seven since a foiled pro debut in 2021.
Meanwhile, Jubli won the first Road to UFC tournament last year to
earn his
UFC contract. “King of Lions” went on suffer his first pro loss
in his debut against Mike
Breeden via knockout at UFC 294 in October 2023.
Finally, Australia’s Stewart
Nicoll (8-1) will take on Japan’s Rei Tsuruya
(10-0) in a clash of flyweight competitors at UFC 312. Nicoll was
undefeated in eight outings with seven finishes when he came into
the UFC as a highly-touted prospect last year. Nicoll was also in
Australia when he was choked out by Jesus
Santos Aguilar in his debut at UFC 305 this past August.
Meanwhile, Tsuruya, the Road to UFC Season 2 winner, maintain his
undefeated record with a unanimous decision win over Carlos
Hernandez in his debut at UFC 303
this past June.
