Muhammad challenges Edwards for the welterweight title in the main
event at UFC 304 in Manchester, England, on Saturday. Muhammad
recently ran into Edwards and his crew in an elevator. “Remember
the Name” claims Edwards’ coach, Dave Lovell, was the only one
talking trash and hopes he attends the press conference.

“I just saw him right now in the elevator. He looked like he was
afraid,” Muhammad told MMAjunkie.com. “Him and his brother and his
coach, they all look like cowards. His coach was trying to talk a
little bit of trash, so I’m hoping that his coach is at the press
conference, because I know Leon’s not gonna be able to talk.”

According to Muhammad, he was with another teammate when Edwards
walked into the elevator with a crew of six to seven people. While
Muhammad chose to stay put, he believes that wouldn’t have been the
case if the tables were turned. Muhammad traded a few barbs with
Lovell and looks with Fabian
Edwards
. To sum it up, Edwards finds the whole of Edwards’
contingent “weird.”

“We were in the same elevator. They were a group of like six or
seven guys, so they thought they’d be tougher or whatever,”
Muhammad said. “But me and my boy Max could always hold anything
down… I was already on. He wouldn’t be confident enough to stay in
the elevator if my group was walking in. He would walk out. For me,
we stayed on. They thought they were gonna be cooler or try to be
tougher, but I smelled fear… Leon didn’t say a word. His coach was
talking, but he just has a weird, stupid accent, and he kind of
sounds like he has autism or he’s slow. So, I don’t know what he
was saying, but he didn’t sound smart at all.

“We were going back and forth with his coach, not even with him.
But then his brother was giving me like a weird look in his eyes.
They just look like a weird group of guys. If you saw them walking
down the street, you’d be like, ‘Bro those guys, they got issues.’”
