This is the latest in a series of last-minute blows for the UFC
Saudi Arabia card, starting with Ikram
Aliskerov replacing Khamzat
Chimaev in the main event against Robert
Whittaker on 9 days’ notice. Sedriques
Dumas will also replace Abu Azaitar
on short notice in a middleweight booking against Denis
Tiuliulin. Meanwhile, a bantamweight matchup between Farid
Basharat and Montel
Jackson fell through due to Basharat pulling out.
Baghdasaryan last fought Tucker Lutz
in July 2023, earning a unanimous decision win to bounce back from
his first UFC loss against Joshua
Culibao. Baghdasaryan was then scheduled to face France’s
William
Gomis at a UFC Fight Night event in February before Gomis
pulled out. Baghdasaryan was rebooked a week later against
undefeated debutant Hyder Amil,
but “The Gun” was forced out due to an injury.
