Rizin Fighting Federation
has announced the addition of
multiple bouts to the upcoming Landmark
Vol. 8
card a little more than a month away from the
highly-anticipated event.

Per a press release provided by the organization on Friday, seven
mixed martial arts bouts along with one kickboxing match have been
added to the card scheduled to take place at the Saga Arena in
Japan on Feb. 24.

Matchups added to the card include a lightweight clash between
Yusuke
Yachi
(25-13) and Kyung Pyo
Kim
(13-4). Yachi, a veteran of the promotion, is currently on
a two-fight winning streak having secured a decision win against
Boyd
Allen
at Rizin

in October 2022 followed by a Round 1 submission victory
against Zach Zane at
Rizin

in June 2023.

Meanwhile, Pyo Kim is also currently on a two-fight winning streak
in the promotion with both wins coming in the first frame of the
respective bouts. The South Korean first secured a Round 1
submission in his promotional debut against Sho

followed by a technical knockout victory against Tural
Ragimov

in November last year.

The next addition is a featherweight meeting between Takahiro
Ashida
(24-13) and Hiroaki
Suzuki
(3-3). Ashida will enter his clash against Suzuki on the
back of a Round 1 technical loss against Kazumasa

On the other hand, Suzuki is fresh off a first-round knockout
victory against Taisei

at Rizin 43 in June 2023.

The other fights on the card include a welterweight meeting between
Daichi

(12-7) and Kota
Shirakawa
(4-4); a women’s catchweight bout between France’s
Claire
Lopez
( 8-5) and Japanese MMA veteran Ayaka

(24-6); a flyweight clash between Yuki Ito
(15-5) and Pancrase veteran Masatoshi

(20-9); a featherweight bout pitting Azerbaijan’s Tural

(21-10) against promotional newcomer Hiroshige

(13-9) and a bantamweight clash featuring Kenta

(13-10) taking on submission specialist Shohei Nose
(10-4).

The promotion has also scheduled a kickboxing bout where former
ISKA super featherweight champion Takumi Terada (7-1) will take on
Takekiyo Tominaga (4-2).
