Legacy Fighting Alliance is set to return to Dallas with a Red
River weekend showdown. LFA
169 will go down Oct. 6 at The Factory in Dallas, concluding
the promotion’s tour of its most frequented state. The event will
mark LFA’s 12th outing in the DFW Metroplex, a record for the
organization.
One of the most highly-touted prospects coming from Texas, Landry Ward
will take on rival state Oklahoma’s standout Alfred
Walker in the main event. A native of Fort Worth, Texas,
Landry, 26, is coming off a hard-fought split-decision win over
Matheus
Pereira Morais at LFA 163. Meanwhile, Walker will be making his
promotional debut as he looks to play heel in enemy territory.
“We are excited to kick off Red River Rivalry weekend and conclude
this year’s Texas Tour in the city and venue where it all started
for LFA,” said LFA CEO Ed Soares announced. “This will set the
table for the annual Texas vs. Oklahoma football game that takes
place across town the following night at the Cotton Bowl. Our Texas
fanbase has been amazing and we look forward to capping this year’s
tour of the state at The Factory in Deep Ellum.”
The rest of the card, as of now, includes a featherweight bout
pitting Elijah
Johns (9-3) against an opponent to be decided; a 135-pound duel
pitting Ty Johnson
(12-6) aginst Cortavious
Romious (7-1); a women’s bantamweight scrap as Melissa
Croden (4-2) will lock horns with Katharina
Lehner (8-4); flyweight tilts that match Aaron La
Farge (5-3) up against Alden Coria
(6-2) and Kevin
Fernandez (6-1) versus Joseph
Camacho (6-1).
