Round 1

John English will be the third man in the cage for this
featherweight bout. Hokit immediately changes levels and takes
Macuka down in the center of the cage. The Jackson-Wink MMA product
is working inside his opponent’s closed guard. Hokit creates some
room and lands an elbow from above. A couple more elbows rain down,
and Hokit mixes in some punches to the ribs. Although Macuka is
trying to hold him close, Hokit isn’t having difficulty finding
space and landing heavy elbows from top position. Macuka’s head is
starting to display some lumps as a result of Hokit’s
ground-and-pound assault. Hokit passes to half guard and then
transitions to full mount. He quickly frames an arm-triangle choke,
but he releases it in favor of more ground-and-pound. Macuka gives up his back and Hokit locks in a
rear-naked choke. Macuka taps out in a matter of seconds for his
third consecutive defeat.
