Jon Jones isn’t changing his stance on Islam Makhachev.

Jones is currently filming for a Russian MMA reality show opposite Nate Diaz in Thailand. During the show's filming, “Bones” referred to current UFC pound-for-pound king Islam Makhachev as someone who is still “young to the sport.” This didn’t go over well with Makhachev’s fans, leading to a clarification from Jones.

However, talks seemingly fell through with McGregor pulling out at the last minute. Taylor claims Alalshikh even told them that “Notorious” had agreed to the matchup. Taylor believes McGregor wanted a more lucrative deal, leading to a sudden change of heart. However, Taylor doesn’t harbor any ill feelings for anyone.

“We were told it’s on and the deal is done,” Taylor told TalkSport. “We had our meetings with Turki Alalshikh and went back and forth on the negotiations from our side. We agreed a deal, it went great and then they said the deal with Conor was already agreed. I don’t know exactly how it happened, but it sounds …

Conor McGregor Subtly Flexes About Donald Cerrone Win While Playing Soccer

Conor McGregor recently flexed about his win over Donald Cerrone, his only Ultimate Fighting Championship victory since 2016.

In a post on social media, McGregor shared pictures of himself from what appears to be a recreational soccer league game. “Notorious” shared multiple photos of a particular shoulder tackle with which he floored the rival player. He then reminded fans that the same shoulders have even ended UFC fights. McGregor wrote in the caption: “Get up outta that I’ve broke noses and eye sockets with this shoulder.

The Irishman was specifically referring to the innovative shoulder strikes he used in his win over Cerrone at UFC 246 in 2020.  In that bout, McGregor was coming off his failed title bid in the UFC 229 grudge match against Khabib Nurmagomedov. The UFC's biggest star back then, McGregor was matched up at welterweight against Cerrone, who was coming off back-to-back stoppage losses. While McGregor finished Cerrone with a…

Renato "Money Moicano" Carneiro hasn’t lost any of his hunger even after fighting for the title.

A fan favorite, Carneiro is loved for his precise one-liners and unabashedly honest opinions. Two of his iconic statements are that he wants easy fights and he cannot afford to lose, as he has a family to feed.

However, that had slightly changed in his last fight, as he stepped up to 24 hours’ notice to challenge Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title at UFC 311 after Arman Tsarukyan was forced out with an injury. Carneiro suffered a first-round defeat, which he admits he could…

With his fight against Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight belt on the horizon, Topuria announced that he had split with longtime coaches Jorge and Agustin Climent.

Tom Aspinall Admits Waiting on Jon Jones Fight is ‚Difficult Mentally‘

[embedded content]

For Tom Aspinall, playing the waiting game has been more mentally taxing than recovering from a serious injury.

Aspinall blew out his knee in the opening moments of the UFC London headliner in July 2022, an injury that would sideline him for approximately a year. While that was a difficult time, the Englishman was able to return to form upon recovery, winning his next three fights inside of a round. During that time, he captured interim heavyweight gold and defended the belt once, avenging his only UFC loss against Curtis Blaydes in the process.

Since then, Aspinall has been out for nearly another year, but this time an injury is not the culprit. Instead, he’s been in limbo was he awaits a date with Jon Jones. At the moment, it’s unclear if the fight will happen at all.

Aspinall discussed the difference between coming back from an injury and waiting on a fight during an interview with Demetrious Johnson on the "MightyCast." Read more

The boxing trainer and MMA analyst recently weighed in on McGregor’s legacy in an interview with Slingo .

“There's a guy that was a pioneer in making people money, a lot like Muhammad Ali,” Atlas said. “When Ali, with boxing, started making more money, he broke that barrier. In the UFC, people started making more money when Conor McGregor came along and he broke that barrier, and people are benefitting.”

The former UFC two-division champion hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. After coaching on “The Ultimate Fighter 31,” McGregor pulled out of a proposed booking against rival coach Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on the week of the fight.

Claressa Shields Says She’s ‚Done‘ with MMA

It appears that Claressa Shields' brief dalliance with mixed martial arts has reached its end.

During an appearance on "The Ariel Helwani Show” on Monday, the multi-division world champion boxer revealed that she won’t be competing in MMA again going forward.

“MMA is done, sweetheart,” she said. “It was fun. I don’t have enough time to train for it. It takes six months, eight months to get ready to defend takedowns. I got a lot better, I put in time. I had my arm broken twice. It was fun, and I enjoyed every fight.

“My family never wanted me to do it. I did it because I wanted to prove a point. I proved that point — to me three times, but you can say twice because I won twice .. I was offered one more fight with the PFL. It would have been against a girl who’s on my level … It takes a lot of time to train for MMA. Time that I don’t have. I did have aspirations of being PFL MMA world champion and having a fight with Kayla Harrison one day, or …
