Things got tense between Nate Diaz and
Dillon
Danis outside of Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

After UFC 281, video surfaced of a verbal altercation between Diaz
and Bellator competitor Dillon
Danis outside of the venue, while Paradigm Sports head Audie
Attar appears to play the role of peacemaker between the two
fighters. While things didn’t get physical between Diaz and Danis,
footage does show the Stockton, Calif., native slapping another man
during the incident. Later, a cup containing an unknown liquid was
tossed in Danis’ direction.
“Everytime they [the Diaz team] show up, I expect something to
happen,” UFC president Dana White said after being informed of the
skirmish at Saturday’s post-fight press conference.
Diaz became a free agent following his victory over Tony
Ferguson at UFC 279 in September. White said he had a positive
conversation with Diaz on Saturday.
“I went over and talked to him tonight, and it’s all good,” White
said.
It’s unclear what sparked the altercation between Diaz and Danis.
Of course, Danis has been a training partner of Conor
McGregor, who has a memorable rivalry with Diaz inside the
Octagon.
