The first KSW event in 2020 is taking shape, as the Polish promotion has just announced three bouts for KSW 53.
Croatian light heavyweight prospect Ivan Erslan (8-0, 1 NC) will put his undefeated record on the line when he faces Bellator MMA veteran Przemyslaw Mysiala (23-10-1). Erslan made his debut in the Polish promotion at KSW 51, when he destroyed Darwin Rodriguez in under 90 seconds. Previously, the 28-years old Erslan had a successful run in Croatia’s Final Fight Championship, where he scored a TKO victory over Roger Carroll and captured a split decision over Ivica Tadijanov.
The upcoming bout is the second KSW fight for “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 28 cast member Mysiala as well. In his promotional debut, the Polish fighter had to bend the knee to Tomasz Narkun after the light heavyweight champion submitted him at KSW 50. The loss halted a six-bout winning streak, where all six came inside the distance.
In related news, Gracjan Szadzinski (8-3) will square off with Bartlomiej Kopera (9-5) in the lightweight division, while Albert Odzimkowski (11-4) will take on Kamil Szymuszowski (17-6) in a welterweight affair.
KSW 53 will go down at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland on March 21. The event is slated to be headlined by a heavyweight tilt between Mariusz Pudzianowski and an unannounced opponent, while welterweight champ Roberto Soldic and former heavyweight king Karol Bedorf are also scheduled to compete on this card.
