Roster Watch initially brought word that Jessica-Rose
Clark, Chase
Sherman and Ji Yeon Kim
are no longer on the roster, and the news was later confirmed by
MMAFighting.com. It is unclear if the athletes were released
from their contracts or simply not re-signed. All three suffered
defeats at
UFC on ABC 4 in Charlotte.
Clark fell to Tainara
Lisboa via third-round submission in the card’s opening bout.
It was the third straight loss in UFC competition for the
bantamweight known as “Jessy Jess.” The 35-year-old Australian went
4-5 during her promotional tenure.
Sherman, meanwhile, went 4-11 over two separate UFC stints. “The
Vanilla Gorilla” lost six of his last seven Octagon appearances,
including a decision setback against Karl
Williams at UFC Charlotte on Saturday.
Finally, Kim exits the promotion following a controversial
technical split decision defeat to Mandy Bohm.
The 33-year-old South Korean compiled a 3-7 mark in the UFC,
dropping her last five outings within the organization.
