Both Paul Craig and Jessica Aguilar received potential indefinite medical suspensions following their bouts at UFC on ESPN 2 this past Saturday.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission released medical suspensions from the event, which took place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The commission did not reveal the specific nature of each suspension.
Craig defeated Kennedy Nzechukwu via triangle choke in the third round of their light heavyweight bout, while Aguilar lost a unanimous decision to Marina Rodriguez in a strawweight tilt. Both fighters need doctor clearance to have their suspension lifted.
UFC on ESPN 2 was headlined by a lightweight clash between Justin Gaethje and Edson Barboza, which Gaethje won by first-round knockout. Barboza is suspended 90 days following the defeat, while Gaethje was handed a 30-day term.
