Yair Rodriguez is facing a potential 180-day layoff following his memorable battle with Chan Sung Jung at UFC Fight Night 139 in Denver.
The Colorado State Boxing Commission recently released a full list of medical suspensions from the event, which took place at the Pepsi Center this past Saturday. Rodriguez defeated Chan Sung Jung in the evening’s headliner with a spectacular no-look elbow at the 4:59 mark of round five.
Rodriguez can have his medical suspension reduced with doctor clearance. However, the Mexican featherweight is facing a minimum 60-day sit. Jung, meanwhile, also received a minimum 60-day medical suspension. Both fighters were transported to the hospital immediately following their bout.
Strawweight prospect Maycee Barber was the only other fighter from the card to get a potential 180-day suspension. Like Rodriguez, she can be cleared sooner with a doctor letter.
