The
Ultimate Fighting Championship‘s final card of February is set
with an intriguing 205-pound main event.
Light heavyweight contenders Nikita
Krylov and Ryan Spann
will battle in the headliner of
UFC Fight Night 220. While every fighter that hit the scales
successfully made their proper marks, one fight did fall through.
Hailey
Cowan vs. Ailin Perez
was called off after Cowan fell ill prior to the weigh-ins.

Krylov (29-9) is looking to take his Octagon career to the next
level in his first UFC main event. Coming off impressive wins over
Volkan
Oezdemir and Alexander
Gustafsson, “The Miner” will look to make it three straight
victories. This comes after a rough 1-3 stretch that saw the
Ukrainian fighter drop fights to Paul Craig,
Magomed
Ankalaev and Glover
Teixeira. However, fighting against top-level competition has
prepared Krylov for subsequent challenges, who weighed in at 206
pounds.
This marks the second time Spann (21-7) has headlined a UFC Fight
Night card. However, “Superman” will hope this time goes better for
him as he was quickly submitted by Anthony
Smith in the previous outing. Since that defeat, the American
has rebounded with wins over Dominick
Reyes and Ion
Cutelaba. Looking ready to go five rounds if necessary, Spann
came in at 205 pounds on the dot.
UFC Fight Night 220 will stream live in its entirety on ESPN+ on
Saturday. Prelims begin at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT, while the
main card starts at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
