ESPN was first to report the pairing. UFC 286 takes place at
the O2 Arena in London on March 18 and is headlined by a
welterweight championship clash between Leon
Edwards and Kamaru
Usman.
Mokoev has kicked off his promotional tenure with successive
triumphs over Cody
Durden, Charles
Johnson and Malcolm
Gordon. His showdown with Filho will mark his fourth Octagon
appearance in approximately one year’s time. The 22-year-old known
as “The Punisher” is unbeaten in 10 professional appearances.
Filho, meanwhile, will make his first UFC appearance after scoring
a third-round TKO of Roybert Echevveria on Dana White’s Contender
Series last September. The Nova Uniao product owns a 14-2 career
record, with 13 triumphs coming inside the distance.
