Headlining UFC 250 is a women’s featherweight title clash as Amanda Nunes puts her 145-pound title up for grabs against Felicia Spencer. A heavy favorite, Nunes (19-4) is largely considered the greatest female mixed martial artist of all-time. She’s currently the UFC’s bantamweight and featherweight champion. In her last bout, she successfully defended her bantamweight strap against a game Germaine de Randamie. Prior to that, she had highlight reel knockouts of one-time 135-pound titleholder Holly Holm and former featherweight queen Cristiane Justino. “Lioness” looked prepared on the scales and easily made weight at 145 pounds.
Spencer (8-1) will look to shock the world Saturday night. The former Invicta Fighting Championships featherweight champion was undefeated until she faced off against Justino last year, where she was dominated by “Cyborg” for three rounds. She rebounded with a TKO win over Zarah Fairn dos Santos and was awarded a title shot after just her second victory inside the Octagon. The “Feenom” had no issue making weight and came in at 144.5 pounds.
UFC 250’s main card will air live on ESPN+ pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Preliminary action begins at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on both ESPN and ESPN+.
