Chase Hooper (9-0-1) announced on his Instagram on Thursday night that he will be meeting Alex Caceres (15-12, 1 NC) at UFC 250. The two will be fighting on June 6, and although there is no official location for the event, it is expected to be held in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex — subject to the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s approval.

Hooper made his triumphant UFC debut when he trounced Daniel Teymur at UFC 245 in December. “The Teenage Dream” announced himself on the major stage on the second season of Dana White’s Contender Series, where he took an exciting decision over Canaan Kawaihae and was given a developmental contract. A subsequent draw and two finishes led to Hooper’s UFC signing.

The enigmatic Caceres has alternated wins and losses in his last six, most recently prevailing over Steven Peterson by decision in July 2019. This nearly 11-month layoff is the longest in Caceres’ lengthy UFC tenure, and “Bruce Leeroy” will be looking to lift his UFC record above .500. Caceres has won 10 bouts inside the Octagon, dropped another 10, and fought to a no-contest after he failed a post-fight drug test in 2013.

UFC 250 is scheduled to be held on June 6 at an undetermined location, but it is believed to be taking place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. There is still no official headliner for this card, although the event will feature a women’s featherweight title fight of Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer.
